n Homme Qui Ne Dort Pas was inspired by The Man Who Sleeps (Un homme qui dort), a 1974 French drama film directed by Bernard Queysanne and Georges Perec, based on Perec’s 1967 novel A Man Asleep. Un Homme Qui Ne Dort Pas was written and directed by Ryan Evans, as his Southampton Solent University 2nd second year final project. After the project had been completed and handed in, Un Homme Qui Ne Dort Pas was re-edited by Ben Grace. This included adding a French narration and grading the footage to look like a 1970’s Super-8 film.
